Week 16

Please excuse the fact that I look as if I haven't left the house today!  I went out to work my horse early this afternoon, and then came back to work on creating the baby registry.  I will definitely be posting more about that later this week!

How far along: 16 weeks
Gender: no clue…curse you people that find out before 20 weeks!
Weight gain: +8 lbs
Maternity clothes: the jeans are getting a bit tight, but I’m holding out!  I still haven’t worn the maternity stuff I bought last weekend.
Stretch marks: none!
Belly button in or out: in
Wedding rings on or off: on
Sleep: I <3 sleep…I took a 2 hour nap today!
Have you started to show yet: yes, but still just feeling chubby
Best moment this week: revealing to the world of Facebook that we are preggers and unveiling the blog!
Worst moment this week: holding out until Thursday for internet access at home
Miss anything: nope…not really
Happy or moody most of the time: cranky this week…
Movement: no…and I’m so anxious to start feeling this in the next few weeks!
Cravings: I wanted a chicken salad sandwich yesterday…
Queasy or sick: feeling much better!
Looking forward to: My dr. appointment on Tuesday and setting up our appointment for the 20 week anatomy scan next month! :-D

  1. I started feeling bean at about 17 weeks lightly, and by 18 I knew for sure it was bean. This week its like a trampoline in there. I still only feel it on the inside, not outside big kicks yet. Just wait, it is the most amazing feeling ever!! I have not been sick or anything, really my only symptom has been not having my PD. So for me feeling the wiggles is such a good feeling, because I have physical confirmation that something amazing is happening in there! We find out the sex on Saturday and I'm probably going to explode with excitement. I can't wait to have a for sure name and start our registry! I am sure you are doing so much research, I'm obsessed with reading about everything and learning as much as I can, both good and bad/scary stuff. I like to be prepared for everything! Although I am also a new mommy to be, if you ever have a question or want to compare feelings or thoughts about procedures/vaccines/etc., I'm always ready to talk baby! A lot has changed since our moms had us and there is so much more to be careful with and prepared for. PS, I love your blog and I am so excited to follow it!

    1. I have felt NOTHING this week, but I'm only 17 weeks and 1 day, so we will see! I have more "fluff" in my midsection than you, so I'm thinking that I won't feel anything until about 19. I hope it's sooner than that though! I was sick the first 12 weeks or so. I never threw up, but I was constantly just slightly nauseous. It wasn't unbearable though. I'm so jealous and excited that you get to find out! I can't wait to hear what baby is! I made our ultrasound appointment for March 19th, and I'm sure I will be crazy anxious the closer it gets.
I'm super excited that someone else is going through this at the same time as me, so we can compare notes and stories! Thanks for the comment and the compliments! I'm excited to try and keep up with this and teaching at the same time!

  2. I keep a journal, and I write in it like I'm talking to baby. I thought it would be something nice for him/her to read someday. I usually only write once every week or when we hit a milestone, or if something exciting is happening at home. I love it, it makes me so happy when I go back and read what I wrote. You'll be so happy that you did this and kept up with it, maybe someday you could print out the entries and make a little book for baby!
