This weekend, my baby brother graduates from Air Force basic training in San Antonio, Texas, so this big sister is brimming with pride. I am now the proud sister of two Airmen and a Marine! I couldn't imagine putting myself through what they all have, and I really do think they are MUCH better people than I am for being so willing to do so! Though I have to say (and yes, I'm bragging here); my mom and dad did an amazing job with all of us!
Our week in sunny South Carolina was quite uneventful. We had HSAP testing all week, so for the first three to five hours on Tuesday through Thursday we were in a testing situation. The hubby and I are both assigned to freshmen advisories, so we were responsible for monitoring them while the sophomore class took their exit exam. It was beyond exciting! After those dead hours, of course the students were oh, so very willing to sit still for another four hours to work on learning about epic literature and "The Odyssey!" Can you just see the sarcasm? In their defense, I also think the fact that this week's weather was sunny and in the high 70's low 80's also played a huge role in the student's (and my) lack of attention and patience! Now if only it were to stay in the high 70's with a slight breeze for the next 5 months, and I would be one happy pregnant lady. Alas, I don't see that happening, but for now, I'll take it!
How far along: 22 weeks, 5 days
Gender: BOY!
Weight gain: +15 (color me NOT happy about this!)
Maternity clothes: Prepping to purchase some more stuff today! I am in need of a few shirts, but I definitely plan on getting things I can wear post baby.
Stretch marks: No.
Belly button in or out: In
Wedding rings on or off: On
Sleep: I am now consistently getting up once a night to go to the bathroom! Other than that, sleep has been the same as always--awesome!
Have you started to show yet: Yes, and it's starting to look like a baby bump. He is still hiding out low in my pelvis though.
Best moment of this week: Hubby felt nugget move one day this week while we were drifting off to sleep, and it was such a big kick that he was startled!
Miss anything: Not much really...not this week anyway!
Happy or moody most of the time: I was easily irritated this week, but I don't necessarily think that it was pregnancy related. We're one week out from prom, Ghost Out (a major Journalism event, and I'm the journalism adviser), and spring break, so I think I might just be ready for a week off of work.
Movement: He definitely has periods of being awake and sleeping. He will move like crazy when I sit down after moving around the classroom, but once I get home and relax he's kind of quiet.
Cravings: Nothing at all this week!
Queasy or sick: Still no desire to eat anything...
Looking forward to: Our glider is supposed to arrive Monday, so that means I desperately need to get to work on transitioning the office!
