This post is almost late! Baby Lochlan officially turns 4 weeks old tomorrow morning, but I just had to do an update of the past week. Not much has changed, but the little nugget is DEFINITELY growing and becoming a bit of a chunky monkey!
**We weighed him by the hubby weighing himself and then holding Lochlan, so this is really very approximate!
Milestones: Lochlan can pick his head up and look around for a good 5-10 seconds! He's also really good at doing that and then either attempting to launch himself sideways or straight into your face!
Sleep: We're up to 3-4 hour stretches during the night! I get up at either 1 or 2 and then 4 or 5 depending on his previous feedings. We are really trying to establish a nighttime routine around 10 or 11 o'clock, but I'm wondering if I shouldn't back that up to his 8 or 9 o'clock feeding...
Eating: We're up to 3 oz. each feeding, and a few times towards the end of this week he has still been hungry after 3, so I have given him 3 1/2. Unfortunately, I have had to go to just pumping, but I'm still doing my best to give him at least 3 oz/ of breast milk a day. My supply was seriously sapped because of the stress of our T4 test concerns, and he is having serious issues sticking it out and waiting for my let down.
Mood: He's super snuggly lately!
Likes: Sleeping on our chests and snuggling all day. He really adores being held. He also doesn't mind baths!
Dislikes: Being put down (sometimes), and he still gets so very angry when he has to wait for his food.
Things I want to remember: How adorable our little family unit is, and how easily my husband has slid into the role of daddy.
Looking forward to: Our 4 week appointment on Friday!
This past week (and a half) has flown by, and it has been both exhausting and relaxing. Is that possible? At the end of last week, Lochlan and I went in to work for a day of training for the New Tech program that I will be participating in this year. I still feel super apprehensive about missing the first few weeks of co-teaching, but I am much more confident in my partnership now, and I think we're on the same page for the first few weeks.
Today we met my brother's girlfriend in Charleston (she's been in Myrtle Beach visiting her mom), and she was awesome enough to do some "newborn" pictures of Lochlan! I can not wait to see how they turned out since our maternity pictures were so perfect. I have so many frames that need to be filled, and I am itching to get some high quality pictures printed out so we can plaster them around the house!
