Six month Update!

Weight: ~16 pounds (official weight: 15 lbs. 13 oz.)
Length: ~26 inches (official length: 25 1/2 in.)

Milestones: We started giving Lochlan solids right before we left to go to PA for Christmas.  I was really trying to wait until 6 months old, but he was so interested in food!  It was making us both feel super guilty because he would just watch us as though we were torturing him by not allowing him to eat with us.  He's also trying so very, very hard to crawl!  He can get up on both arms and do a push up, but he only pushes himself backwards.  We only have two teeth still, but he's slobbering like crazy, so I'm sure that the top two aren't very far ahead of us.  The past few days, we are also getting full giggles, cackles, and laughs when I tickle him!
Sleep: We're in a holding pattern with sleep.  He's still getting up between one and two times a night and insisting on eating regardless of how much he's had all day.  I'm not sure how to break that.  He's napping better and more consistently throughout the day, so I know he has it in him!
Eating: We've tried (in this order), squash, banana, sweet potato, apple, green beans, peaches, and carrots just today.  He's eating a whole 2.5 oz of fruit/vegetable every lunch time and about 2 tablespoons of oatmeal each breakfast and dinner.  For dinner, he also has 1/2 of the veggie/fruit container.  I think he would/could eat more, but he gets bored easily, so he wants out of his seat.
Mood: Last week and today, his baby sitter said he was a temperamental PITA, but he was awesome for us over the weekend *knock on wood*!  He's been very cuddly, and he's been enjoying playing on his own.
Likes: He really as liked all of the solid veggies that we've given him so far.  He's also growing quite fond of his tag blanket that I've been giving him for naps and bedtime.
Dislikes: He really, really wasn't a fan of peaches at first.  He also didn't like the bananas.  The only fruit that he didn't make a disgusted face for was the apples.

Things I want to remember: I want to remember how snuggly he has been lately before naps and how he's started to allow me to actually read him a story or two!  I absolutely love how he snuggles into my arm and lays his head on my shoulder.
Looking forward to: Watching him develop his personality even more over the next month!
