California Dreamin'

Last month the nugget, hubs, and I took a long desired trip to California to visit my oldest younger brother.  Unfortunately, my brother's girlfriend had to make an unexpected trip back home to PA for a friend's father's funeral.  While we missed her tremendously, we had such a fantastic time.

My little booger was an absolutely PERFECT little traveler!  He behaved like an angel on the flights and adjusted smoothly to the three hour time difference.  I'll be honest; I was a bit worried about the time change, but I really had nothing to worry about.  He bounced backwards 3 hours and then bounced right back once we got home!

While we were there, my brother was kind enough to act as tour guide.  He took us all around the Bay Area (as much as you can with an infant anyway).  We went on the Stanford campus, saw and explored the Golden Gate Bridge, drove through San Francisco, and drove down Highway 1 to see the Pacific.  I fell absolutely IN LOVE with the Bay Area.  My brother lives in such a nice little area called Hayward.  The hubs was able to walk down the street each morning to get donuts and coffee (we should have joined him), and the whole town seemed just quiet and fun!  I wish we had been able to stay 1-2 more days to really be able to explore San Francisco and go to the beach.  I suppose nugget's feet will have to touch the Atlantic first.  I suppose we will just have to save up all of our money so that we can go back to visit...or we can just move there! :-D

After all of our traveling to get to California, nugget decided that he was going to START CRAWLING almost as soon as we got there!  Aunt M has some bad ass antique cameras that sit on the bottom shelf of their TV, and he just all of a sudden took off to get them on the first day that we got there.  Hubs and I couldn't even react ridiculously because I think we were both in utter shock.  We just both looked at each other and asked one another about half a dozen times if he was crawling.  He was, and now he is unstoppable!  I guess he was just waiting to meet his Uncle M before he hit his next milestone.  Now if only we could get a Mama or Dadda out of the booger!

Enjoy the pics below from our journey!  Please excuse their roughness.  I'm swamped by school work and prom planning, which is why this post is super late!
This was the first flight.  He was so excited and wide awake at 5am!
By the final flight, I had a not so happy little traveler.
