The World of a Toddler

2 1/2 Year Old Update

Milestones: We have moved (begrudgingly) to a "big boy" bed, and we are nearly outgrowing most of the 2T clothes! I say begrudgingly because I was not ready for the transition. I'm still hoping my baby will stay a baby for just a bit longer! We have also started (somewhat successfully) to be in big boy underwear most of the day.
Sleep: We have regressed a bit here since moving to the new nighttime set up! He's now taking about an hour and a half to put to bed, and he's getting up at least once a night and calling for us.
Eating: I feel like this is always going to be a fight for us! When he's hungry, he eats, and he eats very well; however, if we don't catch him at the exact right moment, he will attempt to snack his way through every single meal!
Mood: I love my child with all of my heart, but it is so very, very true that the apple does not fall far from the tree. I'm not pointing fingers, but this kid has a temper! He's willful (and sometimes spiteful), stubborn, and bossy. He is also extremely precocious, observant, and sweet. He is also extremely silly lately.
Likes: He has found a recent love for peanut butter right out of the jar, and he still has this odd love for olives. He has shifted from Octonauts to Paw Patrol. He loves to read his stories at night, and loves to yell at the dogs. He's a huge fan of swinging at the park, and playing outside. He's also turning in to quite the amateur photographer by stealing our phones every so often and taking pictures.
Dislikes: Being told it's time to stop doing anything that he's doing. Being told he needs to stop doing what he's doing. Staying still for very long. Not getting his way immediately.

Things I want to remember: His silliness, and how quickly he is all of a sudden a little boy. His little, "oh, wow!" when he finds something interesting, and how he seems to be genuinely excited for what's about to come in September.

Looking forward to: The next step in our adventure!

SURPRISE!
