Spring break was wonderful though! Monday and Tuesday were full on baby focused days. We had a doctor's appointment bright and early Monday morning that confirmed the little nugget is growing right on schedule, and they oh so graciously scheduled my glucose appointment for next month *insert joyfully sarcastic grin here.* I just hope I only have to suffer through the one hour test! Wednesday we kind of just vegged around since we spent two days getting the nursery organized...well, I did...hubby was busy trying to get my car back in to working order (it's still not 100%). Yesterday, I was finally able to make it out to see my beautiful pony, who would much rather have eaten all of the gorgeous green grass than play with me, but oh well! On Friday, it decided that it was going to rain the later part of the afternoon, so even if I had wanted to venture out to the farm, the rain said, "oh hell no, I'm putting a stop to all of your fun right now." The weather looked so abysmal for today that I ended up having to cancel our monthly adopt-a-thon as well. Though I have to say after seeing all of my family and friends posting about the snow they had this past week, I will take a few hours of rain!
Hopefully after this last cold spell, the North will hold out and decide it's going to be spring since we are going to make the trek home in a few days to see my amazing cousin get married! Look for a mid week update for week 25!
How far along: 24 weeks, 5 days
Gender: Boy!
Weight Gain: +15 lbs.
Maternity clothes: I've been lounging this week since it was spring break...I'm a bit anxious for Monday to see if my work pants still fit!
Stretch marks: No
Belly button in or out: In, but I've finally taken out my belly button ring.
Wedding rings on or off: On
Sleep: I've been "catching up" this week, and it has been marvelous!
Have you started to show yet: Yes, I had my first stranger ask me if I was pregnant!
Best moment this week: All of the nursery furniture is built, and hubby and I are still married and in one piece!
Miss anything: This week, not so much.
Happy or moody most of the time: Emotional...but it's manageable, so I'll survive.
Movement: Yep, I'm finally kind of used to him moving. The hubs felt him roll the other night when we were falling asleep; it caused quite the laughing fit at midnight!
Queasy or sick: Still with the acid reflux, and I can't nail down what is causing it. Other than that, I've been feeling pretty good lately.
Looking forward to: My cousin is getting married this coming Saturday, so we're headed home for a quick (emphasis on quick) weekend visit.

stumbled across your blog via my facebook feed - ironically, I follow little baby garvin as well. I've been documenting my pregnancy via my blog: http://dysfunctionally-functional.blogspot.com. I'm 34 weeks and still have acid reflux - have yet to be able to figure out how to get rid of it. lol... best wishes! good luck!
ReplyDeleteCristi,
DeleteThat's great! I'm glad you enjoy it. I ADORE Little Baby Garvin, and it's definitely inspired my blogging since she's so ridiculously adorable. :-) I only have acid reflux periodically; thankfully, it's not all of the time. Good luck to you as well and thanks for reading!
So.... It's used to be an one wives tale that the reflux is caused by baby having a lot of hair, BUT, research has shown that it may be related to the hormone that is responsible for your little ones hair growth... So you may get a baby with a full head of hair!
ReplyDeleteAmanda,
DeleteI've heard that too, but who knows! I was born with a BUNCH of hair, and Josh has some pretty thick hair, so I guess it's a possibility. :-) I can't wait to see!
