Summer Break is here--31 weeks!

If I could have run out of the school yesterday in complete mimicry of the final scene in Grease, papers flying everywhere, in full song, I would have!

There has been nothing more frustrating this past week than attempting to move out of one classroom and into another without packing up because people are completely insensitive to the fact that you are almost literally attempting to move mountains at the end of the year since you will be missing the first six weeks.  If I one more person had told me that I could just, "come back over the summer to finish," I'm pretty sure that I would be typing this from a holding cell at the local jail!  I mean, what don't people understand about the fact that I'm due to have a small, squalling infant in 2 months!?  Like I'm really going to want to come back at 36 weeks pregnant to organize my room!?  Seriously, people!

On a purely positive note, my students were fairly successful on their end of course state exam.  I wish (as I do every year) that my numbers were so much higher, but the one thing that I take solace in this year is that they really took the assessment very seriously.  Every student that I picked up at the end of the third quarter/beginning of the fourth was truly curious about their final exam scores, and they kept asking daily if I had received their scores.  This was a new concept to me, and it was absolutely wonderful!  I can't wait to deal with these students on a daily basis next year.

We had our first official baby shower this past Thursday at work thrown by our wonderful colleagues.  It was very overwhelming and humbling to know that we are so loved and our baby will be so spoiled by everyone when he gets here!  We received a ton of adorable baby clothes, and a few items from our registry that I'm stoked about.  Specifically, we received a Bumbo chair, a nursing pillow, and some swaddlers, that I'm so excited to have!  I can't wait to dress him in all of the adorable onesies and outfits that were purchased for him.

It is very soothing to know that I have the next 58 days to just relax and focus on the hubby, my dogs, and preparing for the little nugget!  I think we also cannot wait to take a brief trip home to visit family and celebrate the little nugget with them at our family shower!  We are also planning on taking maternity pictures, so please look for that in the next few weeks.

Stretch marks: Nope!
Belly button in or out: Still hanging in there!
Wedding rings on or off: On
Sleep: Still sleeping like a rock with at least 3 bathroom breaks, but I go right back to sleep!
Best moment this week: Being done with work for the summer, and our work shower.  I love our friends here so much!
Miss anything: Wine...I'm definitely going to stop at the wine store after our doctor's appointment on Monday to pick up a few bottles of the amazing alcohol removed wine that they have!
Happy or moody most of the time: Emotional this week because of all of the craziness at work, but I'm feeling so much better already knowing that I have the next two months to just focus on my husband, my furbabies, and preparing for this two legged baby!
Movement: If it had not been confirmed by multiple ultrasounds that there is only one little nugget in there, I'd swear there were at least two!  Oh, and you can now consistently see him moving from the outside.  Talk about freaking WEIRD!
